We handle design, address cleanup, opt-outs and billing. Card copy says what the record shows, e.g. "city permit records show the last furnace permit was 2004," never a system's age.
$149/mo
Public building permit records from the City of Walnut Creek and the City of Concord (2000 to present), matched to the Contra Costa County Assessor parcel roll for year built, situs address and homeowner's exemption.
No. It tells you the date of the last matching city permit, or that none is on file since 2000. Work done before 2000 or without a permit won't show up. That's why we word everything as "city permit records show..." and you should too.
Yes, especially for water heaters, so "no permit on file" is a weaker signal for plumbing than for HVAC or roofing. Re-roofs and HVAC change-outs are permitted much more often. The newly-crossed rows are the strongest because there's a dated permit on record.
Weekly. New permits are pulled each week and homes that just got a permit drop off the list.
For each trade and city, a handful of newly-crossed homes per week (roughly 13 to 34 a month right now), plus a rotating slice of the much larger backlog.
It's based on the homeowner's property tax exemption. Some owner-occupants never file for it, so the real share is a bit higher.
For each zip code we take one HVAC, one plumbing and one roofing member. While you're subscribed, no other contractor in your trade gets that zip's homes. If a territory is taken, you can join the waitlist.
